Your wedding shoes

I saw this over on ML.

What happened to your wedding shoes?  Do you still wear them?  Or were they so well used at the wedding, they had to be tossed?

As always, PIP appreciated :)

Re: Your wedding shoes

  • I picked out gold comfy shoes that I could wear again.  I've worn them as a bridesmaid in two other weddings and wear them all year round with dresses.  They're not as comfy as I remember them being the day of, though.

Mine are hanging on my shoe rack. I don't know when I'll ever find the need to wear soft pink wedges but I'm hoping the day will come.

  • I wore white Vans. I've only worn them a couple of times since (to baby showers, mostly) because even though they're a good every day sneaker, I've bestowed such a "fancy"-ness to them that I only like wearing them on special occasions.

  • I still have them, but haven't worn them since.  Anyone know a place that could get the mud out???  The flip-flops I wore at the reception...those I've about worn into the ground.  Best $15 we spent on the whole wedding in my book. Felt ah-mazing to get the formal shoes off!

Ditto. I wish I would have bought ten pairs of the flip flops I changed into.

  • I bought navy ones similar to yours, Steph, but I have failed to wear them again.

We have so much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.

  • Mine were cute but so uncomfortable that I took them off early in the reception and switched to flip flops - maybe right after our first dance...  I left them under the head table and forgot about them and they got left behind in the clean up.  I've never been back to our venue even though they called to tell me we left a bag of stuff - shoes, parasols from pictures, some stuff from the emergency kit, etc.  I didn't want any of it so I'm guessing they've trashed it long ago.  Luckily I only paid about $35 for my shoes.

  • Mine are still in a box in my closet. I could wear them again and they are comfy but haven't had an occasion to.

I have those in black! I LOVE them!! :)

And I don't have a photo of my wedding shoes, but I could totally wear them again. I just need to have an appropriate outfit to wear them with and an occasion. :)

  • I bought ballroom dancing shoes so they were pretty comfortable.  I haven't had an occasion to wear them since, though.

The same thing happened to me, but someone from the hotel found them and the manager had them mailed to me.  It was a nice surprise when we got back from the HM.  Of course, I haven't worn them since, soooo...

I also left my bouquet behind, and I felt awful about it for about a month.  Now I'm kind of glad b/c I don't know where I would have put it.
