Hi everyone... long time no chat :)

Just a FYI in case you didn't know... it was news to me.

My phone was all messed up (slow, forcing closes, etc), I brought it to be checked out & they told me it was the Advanced Task Killer.  ATK is not designed for droids & really messes with the phone.  The tec removed ATK & had to reboot my phone.

So, the moral of the story is: if you have ATK on your phone, remove it.

    My phone is doing this, and has since day 1. I have had them reboot it 5 times now and it still keeps doing it. I dont think I have ATK, unless it was preinstalled, they said the next step is to do a "flash" on it which means I will lose everything and if that dont work i will have to warranty it out... its such a pain. I wish i could have my money back and go back to my old old-skool phone

    My phone just started doing it recently but it has had ATK since day 1, so I don't think that's necessarily what is causing my issues, but I will uninstall it (and all the other apps I don't use regularly) and see if that helps.  It doesn't help my battery life anyway.

    Interesting.  I have the ATK but I don't have any issues with my phone.  However, I seldom use the internet on it.

    thanks for the heads up. I just recently got a phone that runs off andriod. Hopefully I don't have any problems.

    I've had ATK for about a year now. It only recently started doing this & progressively got worse. They wiped everything out when they had to reboot.

    I think it had something to do with a newer firmware version or something for the phones.  It used to work fabulously and fixed all my issues, but after one of the firmware downloads a few months ago DH (who's a tech junkie) told me that I shouldn't use it anymore and took it off my phone.  The update had basically kind of fixed the issues that ATK was handling in the past and that by running ATK with it, it was slowing everything down since they were almost fighting with each other.  Something along those lines I think :)
