Mount Vernon area

I dream of moving to the Mount Vernon/Belle Haven area (between there and Belvoir). I know there are a couple of apartment/condo places right by the Woodrow Wilson bridge/MV Parkway.

Any idea on same names of places to Google or an idea of how much rent is in that area?

Re: Mount Vernon area

It lets you search by zip code, price, etc. for both rentals and homes for sale.

  • Riverside is the place really close to the bridge. Otherwise, Belle View is a little farther down the PW and they are condos. I had a friend that lived there a few years ago and loved it- she found her place on CL.

homedatabase is a good source for rentals you may want to check craigslist  for rentals.Good luck

  • Would you be open to living closer to Belvoir? Kingstowne is really nice. You could also google Huntington (although some areas near Huntington are nicer than others). Prices will probably be cheaper in those locations than places right near GW Parkway.

I used to live in Riverside by the bridge:) That is also a consideration, but we have a dog so I was hoping for a yard this next time around.

  • Belle View is a condo neighborhood across the street from Belle Haven.  We are renting and found ours on CL but the office also has a few listings on their bulletin board so it might be worth checking out.

It's a really nice, family friendly, pet friendly area and we love living here.  It's close to route 1, GW Parkway, and 95.

  • I see lots of Belle View condos on Craigslist. If you like big-building-style living, there are a couple of those right beneath the beltway.

If you're willing to go just north of Old Town Alex., there are some really nice condo complexes up there, too.

hotpads.com lets you search for places on a map, it's my favorite search site for rentals in addition to craigslist.
