Mattress Recommendations

DH and I are in the market for a new mattress for our bed. Any recommendations? Does anyone have a Sleep Number?

Re: Mattress Recommendations

  • We've had a sleep number for 3 years.  I love it.  It took me a few weeks to get used to it and it's a bit warmer than a regular mattress.  But I definately notice when I don't sleep in it that I'm sore when I get up.  It's wonderful to find your number and sleep comfortably.  It's also nice when you're achey or don't feel good to let more air out and feel like you're surrounded by comfort.  I'd never go back to  regular mattress.

  • We have an Original Mattress Factory mattress. We L.O.V.E. it. It provides great support, it was a really reasonable price, they will email us to remind us when to flip it... they have a local (woodbury?) factory where they make the mattresses, so there is less carbon footprint involved with shipping whole mattresses across the country. They delivered within 2 days of buying it, and they even moved our old mattress for us.

My favorite thing about our sleep number!

It sounds weird, but I'd liken it to what a baby feels like when it's swaddled.  lol

  • When we purchased our last bed, we were completely set on getting a sleep number. Until we tried it out, and then tried out the Tempur-Pedic. We ended up with the Tempur-Pedic. We didn't like how loud the sleep number was when inflating and the potential for mold to gather inside the mattress, and the Tempur-Pedic was too unbelievably comfortable to pass up.
