What will these people be saying on Sunday when the world doesn't end?
I read something about this, having to do with the group who was convinced the world would end in the 1950s. Basically when it didn't, they believed their prayers or rituals or whatever had saved the world. I guess when you believe something so strongly, your mind will tell itself whatever necessary to make reality jive with your beliefs. The mind is a crazy thing!
