I saw in the Five Things post that you're trying to get DH to drive to Nova Scotia while you're in that area, have you ever been there?  We did the Canadian Maritimes for our honeymoon & our last stop was Peggys Cove & Halifx.  I loved Halifax & would go back in a second if I could.  Before we left we said we wanted to go back to PEI & Nova Scotia.  I'd love to go to Cape Brenton Island one day too, it was just to far from Halifax when we were there.

Hope you are able to go!  Big Smile

  • Hey! We've never been there!  I think it's probably going to be one of the only opportunities that we get to make that trip.  I'm glad to hear you had a good time!!!  We are both pretty outdoorsy people and I think it would be a great trip for us!

I have the whole trip planned out in my head!  The wedding is in Kennebunkport, ME, we would spend a day driving up the Maine Coast, Drive to Halifax, spend a few days there, or traveling around Nova Scotia.  We would head back towards Michigan, stopping at Montreal for a day or two and then maybe swing by Niagra Falls for a day.

Do you have any suggestions for things to do in Halifax? Or in NS in general?  I want to go Kayaking in the Bay of Fundy and I hear there are a lot of great wineries, but that's really all I have so far, lol.

  • When is your trip?

I'm trying to get ready for our FL trip next Sat., but when I can I'll try to go through my info and also see what we did.

One thing that I loved is the Duck tours, where the tour is on land & in the water.  It's great way to see the city & learn about it as well.

  • That sounds like fun!  We are going in early September!  The wedding is Labor Day weekend, and we're planning on making the trip after the wedding!
