Nursing bra/tank recs for large bust

Any recommendations on what brands of nursing bras/tanks are best for a larger bust? I was a 40DD by the end of pregnancy and the shelf bras in the few nursing tanks I have aren't really cutting it now that my milk is in.

Also, anywhere locally that sells them, other than Target and the maternity stores?

Thanks!

  • Edited because it prematurely posted

Ruth's in Cranston sells maternity bras. While breastfeeding I have a pretty good size chest 38E and I found my main nursing bra there.

I'm actually on the hunt for more nursing bras (hopefully some there are lower cut that I can wear with some scope neck shirts) myself and just bought a "Le Mystere" nursing bra online.  I'll let you know how I like it when it gets here

Oh how cute is your little guy!!  Love the pic in your siggy.  Congrats!

I had some Bravado bras when I was nursing DS, and they were great!  The store at Women & Infants Hospital sells them. Good luck!

  • I am still a 38D, was up to DD at end of pregnancy and when my milk came in. I have 1 Bravado bra that I liked that I got at the hospital, but my fav ones for the past year have been the $20 ones I got at Motherhood. I went in, got measured, tried on like 10 of them, and found a few I really really like. Make it your first adventure out with the little one ;-) Worth it. And since they were so inexpensive I was able to get several, and wearing them every day for over a year now that is a good thing.

Gosh I can't wait to put on a regular bra again! ;-)

  • I think Bellani has the Bravado ones now.

  • Love the Anita nursing bras.  Well worth every penny.  I think they have a couple at Ruth's and at Bellani.
  • I didn't nurse long enough to really need a bra but I will say that I just got fitted at Nordstrom (the size I am at is obscene or I would write it here).  Anyway.  My point is that they gave me an Elomi bra and I LOVE it.  First time I ever have felt supported.  They also make a nursing bra so you might want to check into it.  Not sure if the Nordstrom carries the nursing bras or not.  My equally well-endowed friends also raved about Anita bras as well as Fantasie.

I'm a DD/E (well, on my large side I am), and I've been wearing the Bravado Essentials nursing tank at night. During the day, I wear the Bravado Body Silk bra. Very comfortable for me.

  • I've had some good luck with Motherwear.com - they have one that is actually supportive for me and that is my biggest issue.  I've never been blessed with perky ones...ever...and they've always been big, nevermind now!
