Boooo to conspiracy theories
My 87yo grandmother has it in her head that early votes don't count. Where she got this information, I have no clue, but there was no dissuading her of it. So she refused to do early voting and waited until today.
Naturally, the lines are a mile long and she simply doesn't have the physical ability to stand in line for 4 hours. As a result, she has decided not to vote at all.

Yeah! This happened all the time where I was today. Does PA have curbside voting? Our polling places are required to take ballots (and registration forms, if need be) outside for disabled voters to vote from cars.
FWIW, I sympathize with your grandmother. In 2004, there were some absentee ballots in suburban municipalities that were not delivered to the wards in time to be counted.
