help - ruined frying pan??
Last night while I was preparing dinner I put the frying pan on the burner to heat while I finished cutting chicken. I was not paying attention (bad me) and had the heat too high and now there is a light brown ring in the bottom of my pan. (It is a caphalon contemporary stainless steel on the outside nonstick on the inside.). Have I completely ruined the pan? Can I still use it or do I need to toss it? Is there anyway to remove the brown ring? TIA.
Re: help - ruined frying pan??
Did you try a gentle scrubbing? Sometimes those rings just don't come out though.
You don't need to toss it. A good share of my pans have that ring for one reason or another (mainly from being used all of the time). It won't hurt anything, it just don't look pretty.
