We have been in our house for 1 1/2 years and I am now getting sick of staring at white walls. On memorial day weekend were going to tackle the art of painting our living room. The walls are curved at the end so it could be an interesting experience. We picked out 2 colors (khaki and brown) for the living room.
However, this makes me want to now pick out colors for our bedrooom. So, what color is your bedroom painted or what color/colors would you paint it if you had your choice? I am trying to think of some good colors. We have the dark brown cherry wood type furniture in our bedroom so it will pretty much go with anything.
Also, any tips from anyone who has painted let me know.

We are also renting. I haven't painted at any rental I have lived in.
I like blue for the bedroom. The friends house where we are currently staying has a blue bedroom.
Our Bedroom Color
We have a light blue comforter set on it that's so soothing, that has bits of khaki and dark brown in it. I love it. I definitely would recommend this color, or a light blue. The ladies are right, blue is a good color for the bedroom.
As for your curved walls in the living room, well when we remodeled our house last year, we had those put in also. I just put a piece of painters tape right in the middle of the curve and painted the living room one color and the hallway another color. It looks really good if you ask me and that's how I've always seen it done.
Painting tips: Start early when it's cool outside so you can leave the windows open. Find a oscillating stand fan and use that. Make sure to get all of the excess paint off the rollers, so you don't have too much paint in one area of the wall or on your floor. Put plastic sheeting down. Make sure to not go in straight lines. Make "W's" with your roller when you paint and continue to do that the whole time. Good luck! I hope that helped.
Another tip I've discovered through my painting experiences... you may not think you need two coats after you finish the first one, but you always do. If you don't, you'll regret it later.
Also keep a wet towel on hand as you are painting to fix mistakes right away. Otherwise, you'll be living with a blue spot (or whatever color) on your ceiling or base boards.
Good luck! I'm jealous. Our newly painted nursery makes the whole house look like it needs a coat of paint.

Thanks ladies! I like blue. We have a dark khaki bed spread so we found a really cool dark blue color but not really sure. I hate not knowing till its done lol.
Amber- I wanna see pics of the nursery. I told my hubby the other day it would need 2 coats and he tried to tell me it only needed one.. I am going to still do 2 though. 1 coat was ok for our garage since its outside and we only see it but not inside.
We haven't painted our master- yet. But it will be a khaki-light brownish color (color matched to match the lightest square in our fall/winter/spring duvet that has three shades of brown blocks). Kind of like the Sandbar that was posted, but a little warmer/brighter.
Sherwin Williams is EXCELLENT at color matching. I brought in our espresso brown with blue accent towels to them and they matched the blue perfectly for our bathroom walls!
We also have SW On the Rocks in the Living Room, SW March Wind above the chair rail and SW Summet Grey below in the Dining Room, SW Aquaduct in the Guest Bedroom and we're painting SW Cobble Brown in the "nursery" room.
My Planning Bio
Burns- I love Sherwin Williams. One of the colors in our living room will be Universal khaki or a similar color.
You can do 2 in the same day- just start over as soon as you finish. No need to cut in again
As for the nursery... I'm in love with it
We're hanging the blinds and valance Monday probably then I'll put some pictures on facebook. But here's a small taste (not to thread jack):
