I feel old!
I got a high school graduation announcement from a former student today. I've kept in close touch with the family all these years. I taught him my 1st year teaching 13 years ago. I feel so old.

I freaked at the beginning of this year realizing that my first 1st graders are 5th graders now. Next year, the first 1st graders I had at this school will be 5th graders. They're the first group I will have had 5 years in a row. I can't believe it!!!
I also feel old knowing none of my students were born before the year 2000.
I'm right there with you artslvr. My first group of students were in fourth grade and they will be 26/27 now. This really gets to me at times.
Also, last night DH and I were walking around Annapolis and there were a lot of midshipmen out and many of them were plebes. They looked barely old enough to shave. I really felt old looking at them.
