L'Auberge Provencale - how dressy for dinner?

It just occurred to me that I'm going to need to pack for our anniversary trip tomorrow :P  The restaurant looks really nice (from the menu), but is it DC dressy, or (slightly) more casual because it's way out in the country?  I don't want to pack a dress and fancy sandals only to find out that I look ridiculously overdressed for White Post, VA!

Re: L'Auberge Provencale - how dressy for dinner?

  • Our friends were married there two weeks ago - I'll check with them !
  • They claim to be tie required for men, but when we went for my birthday two weeks ago, there were a few men in just jackets (no tie), but the majority were wearing ties. A formal or semi-forml gown would be too formal (unless you were attending another vent as well) but it does tend to be dressy vs nice casual.
  • I hope you enjoy yourself.  DH and I went one time and loved it.  Although we also have a hillarious story to tell from that trip.
