Bella Baby Photos

I'm delivering at Mercy and I know they have the Bella Baby photos available there.  I am planning on taking a couple cute hats for the little guy to wear and maybe an outfit.  Do they do the pics on discharge day?  Will DH and I be in the pics too?  If you did them, what did you/DH/baby wear?

    It really depends on how busy they are. They try to do them the day before discharge, but obviously people who are being discharged have priority. You and your DH will be in some of the pics too. I would definitely bring an outfit and don't put him in it until right before pictures.

    Sorry to hop on this post but BabyRN, I thought you might know the answer to this question.  Do you have to have the Bella Baby Photos taken?  When we had C 2 years ago, they didn't get around to us until discharge day and we literally waited around for 2-3 hours for them to come take the pictures that we had no intention of buying.  When we deliver with this child, if the same situation arises, can we just leave without the pictures being taken?

    We declined the pictures last time for basically the same reason.  You can just leave.

    I work in photography and most people leave their newborn's naked so you can see all the cute wrinkles and little booty. Also adding a cute hat, bow, flower, ect. makes the pictures super cute!

    you can totally leave, we did. Olivia was being discharged from NICU after the 5th day at Mercy at 9 but the appointment was at 11 and we didn't want to wait around, we just wanted to take her home, so we cancelled.
