Tornadoes ..

Yesterday was quite eventful in terms of weather. A small town here in KS has been practically demolished.

Then today, a tornado went through Joplin, MO, which is just 30 mins away from where we are moving later this week. 24 people have already been reported dead, many still missing. The hospital has it's roof ripped off and they are asking for help in every form, including doctors and nurses. So far, all of my friends living in the area have reported that they are safe.

Here's more info if you are interested.

I've also heard of storms in Michigan?

Please keep those in Reading, KS, Joplin, Mo, and places in Michigan that may have been hit, in your thoughts and prayers.

  • Glad you are ok!  The weather this Spring has been crazy here in the south too.  We've had hail/tornado's more than normal.  Definitely keeping everyone in my prayers!  I think the count as of this morning was 89 dead :(  So sad!

And Minnesota. I have friends up there who've had a lot of near misses this weekend but managed to stay out of harm's way. They say their tornado season doesn't usually start til June so we're hoping it's just an early season, not a double season.
