She came through her surgery like a champ! She had some amazing surgeons and a nurse came out every hour to let us know how she was doing. It was a long and stressful day, but all in all, went so much better than we expected! The surgery was expected to take 5-6 hours, but it only took about 3; she got her breathing tube out that night and was home by Friday (when surgery was on Tuesday!) The dr's thought she would need to be there for 3-6 weeks, so this was amazing. We spent last weekend with her and she was already putting on more weight, had more hair and was trying to crawl and eat the cat's tails! I am just amazed by her. If she lands really hard on her belly she will fuss a bit, but other than that and seeing the scar, you would never know. Thank you all for your prayers; I am absolutely sure that is what brought her home so quickly!
She had a follow up appt. last Monday with the doctors in WDSM and she is cleared to start regular food. They can't get over how well she is doing!
Thank you, thank you again!
