How was your weekend?

Mine was pretty low-key, as usual. I caught up on my sleep, did some cleaning, and read a book. DH and I went out to eat at Incan Trail Peruvian Restaurant last night since I had a Groupon. Delicious...especially the ice cream! I'm definitely planning on going back.

Now I'm debating if I should go grocery shopping on if it can wait a few more days. I'm leaning towards laziness. Smile

Re: How was your weekend?

  • Spent the weekend in Eureka Springs. Well-rested, well-fed, ready to get back to business. Will probably catch up on the DVR tonight.

  • Great! Loads of much needed rest, we ate at Bella Vista and were pleased. I love Spaghetti Bolognese and it was great there!

The remainder of my day will be spent washing hair, packing, and preparing for our trip home later this week. I am already looking forward to coming back and doing more relaxing.

    Vacation
  • Low key, but good! Saturday my sister and her boyfriend came over for a little while. She's storing some stuff in our garage for the summer, so they got it unloaded and we went to lunch--Johnny Carino's, mmm. DH was home from work fairly early, so I picked us up some dinner and a movie.

DH is working today, so I'm doing laundry and working on getting Baby's stuff put away--it's been taking over the dining room since my shower last weekend. :)

And Friday was my last day of work for the summer! Yes

We had a great weekend! Friday night DH and I hung out at home and watched a documentary off our Netflix queue. Geeked We had friends over yesterday for dinner and to watch the Thunder game. Today we spent all afternoon out by the pool. I did somehow throw my back out yesterday, so that's no fun. But, at least summer has started so I have plenty of time to let it recover!

  • My weekend has been good. H and I decided to tackle some budget issues; we will no longer be eating out every other night (it wasn't quite *that* bad, but we ate out a LOT). Went to Crest yesterday and loaded up on groceries. Feeling like an actual adult now!

Watched the Thunder last night. It was tough to make it through the entire game... there were several moments when I was tempted to stop watching. Really thought we might come back there at the end, but alas. Hopefully we'll be ready for the game tomorrow.

Went to my soon-to-be nephew's birthday party today. Nothing like a bounce house and dinner in 100-degree heat. Gross. Currently recovering with an ice cold 1554, trying not to think about the busy day that surely awaits me at work tomorrow.

Fuzzy- Did you try out Local Flavor?

Liz- What documentary? I'm always on the lookout for a good one.

  • DH worked, but mine was pretty good. I'm not 100% un-jet-laged yet, but it definitely helped to be able to sleep when I wanted and be awake when I wanted. I read, cooked, caught up on 10 days worth of DVR, and spoiled the dog like crazy.

Tomorrow morning my plan is to get back to work on my research, and having done nothing for a few days, I'm actually kind of excited to get back to work.

  • This feels like the longest weekend of my life!  I went to dinner and to Riverwind Friday night with some guests we had in the office this past week.  I am not sure WHAT they expected from Riverwind but they thought it was a hoot.

Saturday we did house stuff - painted the ceilings in two rooms that are getting carpet tomorrow and some other stuff I can't remember.  Went to the Thunder game and because I am a sore loser, left after the first quarter.  Also, a ton of Mavs fans sat near us and I had a severe issue with that.

Today we did more house stuff - put in some new lights, painted the ceilings again, did some work on our yard yada yada yada.

I am pumped up for the new carpet to be installed tomorrow and I am hoping we will have time to unload our hideous POD before the game tomorrow night.

  • It was good. H and I had dinner and went to BIL's Friday night. H went back to work on Saturday morning. I went to a baby shower and then to my parents house to visit. Today, I helped my mom's church with a big event. I'm at home relaxing now, but I'm about to finish up the laundry and clean up a few things.

  • We had a good weekend. Saturday morning I took the girls to a birth meeting and then we had a birthday party. H went to the thunder game last night so I just laid around after the kids went to bed.

Today, we went out for brunch and them ran some errands. Our house is a mess, but instead of cleaning tonight h and I watched tv. House cleaning is on the agenda for tomorrow!

  • The weekend was good!  H got in from being out of town on Friday afternoon, and we went out that evening with JLimberg and her H to Sage and then RedPin for some bowling.  Saturday H worked most of the day and B and I played outside quite a bit, attended his friend's birthday party, and I got some cleaning done.  We watched the Thunder game at our house with JLimberg and her H that night and cooked out steaks...it was fun.

Today H worked until about 12:30 and he got home and went to the 1pm church service.  We all took a nap, cooked some dinner and H got called out again and is currently working.  Poor guy.  I'm being a bum on the computer now.

  • Mine was good! We FINALLY got our house clean (YAY!). We had double date night at our house Friday night.

Saturday: I took the OGET in the morning, came home and cleaned a little bit, took a nap, we grilled some steaks, and watched the thunder game.

Sunday: Went to church, went to lunch, got caught up on Friday Night Lights (the TV show), went to a Praise service our church had in the evening, DH and I went for a run, then we watched No Strings Attached.

  • It was a very exhausted weekend. I think M has reached the peak of her terrible 2's.

Friday night the ILs came over to drop off their dog for us to watch while they go on vacation to D.C. So that was fun trying to get our dog to stop antagonzing the other dog.

Saturday we went ate lunch at GoGo Sushi. The we went to Academy where M thought it would be hilarious to run away from us and for us to chase her. I guess I didn't realize how fast she had become. She can dart around those corners very quickly. We then went to Target where M had to be strapped into the cart so there was no running away from us there. We got out of there quickly. M and I went to a birthday party which thankfully was at a playground so she ran around until she was exhausted. She passed out in the car. Yay! Dh cooked hot dogs for dinner. Afterwards we got a snocone and sat outside and relaxed. It was a beautiful evening.

Sunday we didn't do much. We slept in (7:30 woohoo!) and then was lazy for most of the day. I got a pedicure and then went to the store. While I was there DH was trying to get M to take a nap. He said at one time she was quiet for a moment then suddenly she was screaming. She had taken the back plug out of her baby monitor and put in her mouth so she got a little jolt. Awesome. So I get home and had to rock her to sleep. I was exhausted. After she woke up the rest of the day was trying to wrangle her and telling her "No" almost every 5 minutes.

Needless to say I was happy when she finally went to bed last night and very happy to actually drop her off at daycare. The ILs will be back in town on Thursday and I'm thinking DH and I need a night to ourselves.

  • The weekend was pretty quiet. I came down with a crappy cold on Thursday, and JJ had some stomach thing, so we were both home Thursday and Friday. I drove to my mom's so she could help me take care of JJ while I was laid out, which was nice. Luckily, the both of us got better while we were at home.

Only thing I really did was go to the Thunder game on Saturday. I grew up a Mavs fan, so I was really torn about the series...but the obnoxious Mavs fans sitting two rows behind me made me super mad, so I'm not torn anymore. Thunder all the way. That game was ugly, but I'm glad we went.

I probably should've been more productive - my oil is screaming at me that it needs to be changed - but I felt like hell and just wanted to stay home.

  • Ours was a low key as well. I took off Thursday and Friday for an ortho appopintment and my nephews promotion. Friday night we went to the IL's and H cut out some crafts for me, Saturday he finished cutting while I sanded then Saturday night we went to a friends house and watched the Nascar race. Yesterday we went to breakfast, I painted on my new crafts, folded/put up laundry, got some things out in the camper for the lake this weekend and then we went to my parents for dinner.
