Re: divorce stats
According to those figures, my chance of divorce is decreased by 107%. I like those odds.
I think that the first part of the brochure, talking about how divorce is decreased in the upper class, but the middle class is moving closer in odds to those who are poor, makes sense. After all, one of the biggest causes of divorce is money fights / money problems.
Interesting, though I don't like how they say "How to decrease your risk of divorce". These statistics (as are most stats) are correlations and not causations. A lot of those behaviors are very interrelated too. Often upper class people are college educated and wait till they are older to get married.
I'm curious about the have a baby 7 months after marriage stat. Does it mean that people were pregnant before they got married or that they got pregnant within 7 months of being married?
