So I was changing Weston and when I saw his birthmark, I couldn't think of what the nurse called it, so I looked it up. Apparently birthmarks are pretty common. I don't have one, but Floyd and Weston do.
Weston has a small bruise-like one above his little bottom. It is called a Mongolian Spot and is common in babies of color.
Do you or any of your babies have birthmarks?
If so, do they bother you or make you feel self conscious?

It's not really a birthmark, but I have a small bald spot on the top of my head where the doctors had to place some sort of needle into me the day I was born. No one really told my mom why (she was pissed!) but ever since then I can't grow hair in that spot and have to be careful when I am out in the sun.
I was teased so badly for it when I was a kid because it was very noticeable and hated getting my hair cut. Now it doesn't really bother me too much since I part my hair and it gets covered.
Ellie has what's called a "cafe-au-lait" spot below her right shoulderblade, almost under her arm. It's been there since she was born but has gotten darker as she's gotten older.
You can see it's very faint here, but now it is much darker.
She also has a "stork mark", a red cluster of spots between her eyes, and hers spreads over onto her right eyelid. Unlike the other, this one was much darker when she was born and has faded as she's gotten older. Now it only shows up when she is crying a lot, gets hot, etc.
Neither of her birthmarks bother me at all. i think they're adorable and they make her even more unique than she already is.
Pretty much my entire left arm is covered with a birthmark. I didn't know different types had names, that's interesting.
I never noticed I had one until I started going to school and other kids and teachers would ask me what had happened. But I've never really been self conscious about it. Half the time I forget it's there.
You can kind of see it in the pic above. It wraps all the way down to my wrist.
Also, I have the same stork mark that Ellie does, it's just barely visible now. I don't have any others.
My sister has an interesting one. On the back of her leg, she has a spot that is totally white. Like, it has no pigment at all.

I just have a lot of freckles on my arms and back. On my shoulders they're from sun poisoning. I like my freckles, and I wish the ones on my face hadn't faded away. My favorites are my "twin freckles", sets where two the same size and color are right next to each other. Fortunately my derm tells me all of them look healthy!
Not really a birthmark, but I have a dimple in my left shoulder. I love my dimple. My dad and my cousin (dad's brother's daughter) have the same one.
I have a small round one, about the size of a pencil eraser, on my wrist. I have another round one about the size of a quarter on my buttcheek. Those are just your typical dark brown birthmarks.
I have a strawberry patch between my eyes which gets red when I'm sick, angry, have a fever, am flushed, etc.
I also have a birthmark on my liver, which is kind of weird but not a big deal they say.
My birthmarks never really bothered me, for some reason my scars bother me A LOT more.
Stand up for something you believe in.
i have a dark brown mark on my left arm, I call it my "blueberry".
Evie has two cafe au laits. One on her inner thigh and another on the middle of her back.
