Manic Monday
We are dropping balls all over! It's so late for this!
Best: Good times going around with DH on Saturday running errands.
Worst: Going to Tiffany's and buying something not for me. 
Stepping on my own big toe in Nordstroms while trying on clearance hooker heels for fun. Now it's all bruised and painful.

best: getting our surround sound system installed, and spending saturday in the pool with friends for DH's birthday
worst: we didn't get to swim until 4, because the friend with the pool had a 1st birthday party to go too =( also, my sister and her boyfriend came, because all the boys played paintball that morning...and they got into an argument after she accidentally kicked him hard when she meant to joke around, and he started acting more like his former douchey self once after that...not sure we'll keep inviting them to our pool parties, it might just stay our small group.
My Shopping Blog
BEST - hanging out at our pool on Saturday and Sunday with friends. AJ got his first tooth and he still slept through the night!!
WORST - our pool is still cold from the low temps last week so I didn't actually get in it.
best - hanging out poolside on Saturday. Saw mom for dinner - she's looking more human, but not putting enough effort into getting back to normal (in my non-M.D. opinion). Paid off Cap1 (car maintanence) and Macy's (new plates).
worst - damn sun. I tried to hide in the shade every so ofter and I thought I was fine but my back was in the sun. Grrrrr. I do not want to burn anymore! So I didn't go back on Sunday with mrB.
My DH is at a funeral today. One of his old coworkers died in his office last week - they've done an autopsy to rule out foul play. It was probably a heart attack or something similar. He had 2 young kids. I feel so bad for all of them.

Best - dinner at Trader Vic's on Saturday was delicious. I picked out new linens for our bedroom and found out they were on clearance at the store for 70% off, plus had a 20% coupon too.
Worst - fighting my own indecisiveness on whether to get the new linens and dropping $350 for all the new stuff. I argued (yet again) with DH about the !#@$ border in the bedroom that now must go. I kinda' got railroaded into putting the current one up 5 yrs ago (old crap from original homeowner damaged the wall and there was no time to get it fixed). He says it can't be fixed and the drywall will have to be replaced. I say it can be fixed and simply refuse to put up yet another !@#$ border just to hide it. I have a feeling my battle with all the wallpaper/border in the house is starting soon, maybe even this weekend. Up first - the dining room! Once I prove my point there, then I'll mess with the bedroom border. Then... the SIX layers in the kitchen.
So... if anyone has good recs for interior painters who will also take down layers and layers of wallpaper, I'll be interested to know of good back-ups for when I declare defeat and call in the pros, lol.
Best: Two good bike rides, hanging out w/DH every evening and cooking in
Worst: The century ride on Sunday had no women's bathroom(!). We had to barge in on the men's.

Best - Went to a party Sat night with velvet ropes and all. I had a super awesome time.
Worst - Recovering from said super awesome party.
Kat, I'm sorry about your H's coworker, that is terrible! Did he actually die while he was at work? I'm glad your Mom is home, hopefully she will make some effort soon.
Best - Getting my LASIK done, I can now see 20/15! Plus BF spent the whole weekend with me, which is not common and was great to be able to spend all that time with him. I also received the Annointing of the Sick at Mass on Sunday, so hopefully all those prayers will help me.
Worst - Being super tired (as usual). I think the prednisone they have me on for my eyes is making me kind of nasty. I had to apologize to BF a few times for being a biznatch unnecessarily. Plus BF killed my b-day plans that I had for him, see post above.
best - sis' shower, getting new bras that fit my bazoombas, seeing bridesmaids by myself, church last night was awesome
worst - my h is in a funk and i don't like it at all.
Yep - it was at DH's old "office" so, same Company, different department. The guy was in his office and his chair was turned away from the door. Someone noticed that was strange and went in there to speak to him. DHs old cowrokers said the paramedics tried CPR but when they got him into the ambulance they stopped working on him. He was just gone. In his early 40's too.
And my mom just needs a swift kick in the arse - hopefully mandatory post-op P.T. will get her moving in the right direction.

Holy crap. I am guessing no one will ever want to use that office/desk/chair again. Yikes.
Cardiac rehab would be a good thing for your Mom. My Dad had to do it after his open heart surgery and it really helped him. Hopefully the cardiologist will prescribe it for her too.
best: we made a lot of yummy meals this weekend and we got to go to the pool.
worst: realizing that AF will most likely be here in time for my anniversary this week

Best: Hanging out in Piedmont Park all weekend, a friends 30th Birthday party bash that was great. Seeing bridesmaids. So funny.
Worst: Staying out until 3 am saturday night and coming home reeking of cigarettes. I took a shower went to sleep with wet hair and woke up looking like a troll doll.
