My friend got asked this question on a job interview. How would u answer it?
What do you think when you hear the phrase 'Corporate Social Responsibility'? What do you believe are the responsibilities of a company today?
Re: My friend got asked this question on a job interview. How would u answer it?
Corporate Social Responsibility is about the collective efforts of employees within a corporation to contribute something of value to the community and/or environment. It could take place in many forms such as green policies or volunteerism. While the efforts may be directed by the company, I think it is an excellent way to build moral and relationships between employees by giving them a way in which they can collaborate on projects that are often separate from their core professional responsibilities.
Yes, I'd say something like that.
This is the field I work in!
CSR is actually really important to millennials which is probably why recruiters are using it more often in interviews.
CSR can mean a few different things and it varies by company - it's always good to read the CSR portion of the website and/or the latest report before a job interview.
But at the heart of it CSR is the responsibility to promote the triple bottom line: people, planet, profit. Usually this entails working with the community and adhering to certain ethical standards, implementing sustainability programs and program that are better for the environment, and of course making a profit at the same time.
