Mountain Terrace - Woodside

ok, switching gears here

Has anyone been to a wedding here, gotten married here or even just been there?

My brother and his gal are checking it out for there 2012 nuptials. Just curious if anyone had some experience there.

Re: Mountain Terrace - Woodside

  • I went to a wedding there in 2009. It was really pretty. The wedding was outside on the grass with a pretty view. We ate outside on the deck - it got a little cold (bride didn't get enough heaters - that would have helped). The dancing was inside - which was fine, but a little cramped - it's two rooms, but divided by a fireplace so you can't really use both rooms for dancing. But overall it was fun (most of my cons were not with the venue itself, but what my friend chose/did).

The food (I think they used their caterer - not sure if it's required) was meh and not enough, but again, that's more of a selection problem, then venue problem.

  • We looked at it when we got married and the big turnoff was the weekly Harley gathering just across the street from the property.  I can't remember if it was on Saturdays, Sundays, or both or what the hours were but I would definitely ask the wedding coordinator about it.  Weddings are held in the back of the Mountain Terrace property with no view of the motorcycles across the street from the front, but guests would definitely see the big bike gang while driving in and I assume they'd hear the engines if they started up.  Just wasn't the tone we wanted for our wedding.
I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball
