What is this Homemade gourmet cookoff party- is it a business you're trying to start? I'd love to hear more about it!!

Re: ***muchlove***
I recently learned about this company (back in April actually) and decided to dive in and become a consultant. Homemade gourmet sells food mixes (i.e., taco soup, blt dip, apple crisp) and seasonings (i.e., garlic and basil, sunday roast seasoning etc). Most of these products you only have to add two or three more items to prep the meal. For example, tomorrow I will be using the sunday roast seasoning to make BBQ on a bun. All I have to do is get a 2 pound brisket, 2 cups of water, and the seasoning and after letting it cook in the slow cooker all day, shread the meat and add bbq sauce and throw it on a bun. The whole idea is to make meals easier and quicker so you can bring the family back to the kitchen table to have a true family dinner (something that is really missing in todays crazy fast world). One thing that I really like is that you can use the mixes or seasoning for MANY different recipes (www.key2thekitchen.com has several recipes that consultants and customers have added). You also can lighten everything up except for the cheesecake mixes (have to use the regular creamcheese). oh and if you have a picky eater in your family (DH is my picky eater), you will find things that will please everyone.
The restrictions on a consultant is not as bad as Mary Kay, avon, or creative memories (all whom you have to meet a monthly sales goal...plus, so many people are already involved in those companies). I only have to meet a quarterly goal which is very doable (already met it for this quarter). One reason I am doing this is to have the adult interaction once the baby is here. plus if I get enough in sales, I won't have to return to work (THE MAIN GOAL).
Here is my website for it: www.homemadegourmet.com/sarahrees
If you have more questions about it, ask away! I am still learning the ins and outs of the company so the more questions asked the better I can be to present this to others!

The party was pretty small, but I did get two orders out of it and was able to give out catalogs so that they could pass the info on to other friends. DH is helping alot also. He emailed all his clients (both the group fitness clients and his individual clients) my link and some info about it.
Thanks Lisa for passing the info on! I appreciate the spread of word!
