Agreed. I love the tradition but both my & J's mom's name wouldn't even come close to making a name, though, if we wanted to do that for Gabby.

I like mine, but if I had to change it, I'd go with Riss's middle name, Lynn. It's similar to Lauren and sounds good with the rest of my name:)

Ann(e).
Every woman in my mom's family has Ann somewhere in her name, whether it's part of a name (Lillian, Eleanor, etc) or the name Ann. If someone didn't have the name Ann in her name - she took Ann as her confirmation name. My sister and I are the first ones in the family for multiple generations to not follow this tradition. I was too stubborn and rebellious to take Ann as a confirmation name, despite my mom asking me to, and my sister never made her confirmation. Now that I'm older, I like the tradition and I'm disappointed I broke it.
