Need rec - RE doc...UPDATED
We have got to finish some work on our house...baseboards & crown molding mainly. Does anyone have a handyman that they would recommend? We had a contractor quote us and it was insanely high...but DH is traveling for work so much that we can't seem to get this done ourselves.
Also.....has anyone seen a RE (Reproductive Endocrinologist) that they loved? Preferably in Center City. I'm frustrated and not getting any help/answers from my doctor. This whole wait 12 mths then call us thing is just not working.

Re: Need rec - RE doc...UPDATED
I am seeing an awesome RE. My friend also went to them and they were able to get her pregnant in a few months after years and years of trying with another doc (she saw the female doctor, not the one I am seeing). They have an office in Langhorne, Willow Grove and another in Center City. I see Dr Castelbaum, and the practice is:

Also regarding the wait 12 months thing, all he did was ask me how long we had been having unprotected sex, and made sure I was 12 months out from that date. basically he said insurance just likes to know you've tried for a year before seeing an RE... so even if you have to flub the numbers by a month or two, they're not strict on it.
"fyi" i did not have to wait 12 months, and i had pretty basic insurance. I was temping/charting/irregular cycles and clearly not ovulating. If you can pretty much show this, there is NO POINT in waiting 12 months obviouslyyyy
Thanks!! Just sent you an email.
Someone else recommended this place to me as well. I'm going to give them a call tomorrow. Hopefully I can start getting some answers.
THANKS!
I'm not ovulating either. What treatments did you end up doing to finally start ovulating? I am new at this... so I'm just curious what's working/worked for you.
wait, then you are O'ing? did you use an ovulation predictor to make sure? it's 20% chance of getting pregnant each month even when you are "normal" -- you really don't want to go through all the testing with a RE if you don't have to!
I second that.. The two appts I've had so far have not been fun....... and certainly not something I would do if I was not positive there was a problem!
I know I could be jumping the gun on the RE thing. I think this month's negative just hit me hard. If they tell me to wait 4 more cycles and come back - I will. I just feel like I've been doing everything right and it's just not happening.
you are obviously normal. i take back everything i said, stick with your OB for a few more cycles. *side eye
Thanks for the recommendations!
So I went ahead and made an appt with the RE. I have a cyst the size of an apple where my left ovary 'should' be. He could not see any ovarian tissue so I may not have a left ovary. Also have a uterus septum Had an MRI yesterday and I go in tomorrow for the results. Very happy I didn't wait until the 12 mth mark since I need surgery to remove the cyst and fix the septum.
