I'm really unhappy with my current resume. It seems boring and bland. I'd appreciate any guidence you are willing to give me.
Background information: I'm applying for an internal job as a Client Account Manger. I am using some programs and terms that are specific to my organization, I've also tried to tailor it to the position to which I will apply. We have a text based submission program, so my formatting is plain and bolding items is not an option.

Re: Critique my Resume
I don't see anything wrong with it. Boring and bland - maybe, but it's a resume and it's content and experience that matter.
The only thing I wasn't sure about was the bold above. I could be completely wrong but why the s on the end or each word? I see why you would put it with chairs, but you could also use the phrase "chairperson" in some way. Is it on your resume in paragraph form or bullet form? I think bullets work better if someone is only doing a quick read.
I thought it sounded awkward without the s, but I suppose that is more correct.
As for bullets, it would push me over one page and I have a little over 5 years experience, but all within this company. Maybe if I took of my associate degree, that would work...
Using the "s" on the ends of those words makes it sound like a third person is reciting your qualifications to the reader. If that is your intention, then okay. I imagine it isn't since you aren't consistent. You need to choose a tense and stick with it.
I was always taught to use past tense (e.g., led, worked, chaired - or served as chair, served as chairperson, etc).
Also, under the section where you talk about software and skills of that nature, I wouldn't bother with "experience in..." - just cut to the chase and give them a list. They want to know what you can do - listing a skill denotes experience.
Good point. I'll change it to just a list. My original intent was to break it out with what I use everyday vs what have used in my past positions, but who cares? I can do it all!
I agree you should take off the s at the end of the first job to make it sound first person and more active.
Do you have any metrics or results you can throw in there? Right now it looks very task-centric instead of focusing on numbers and accomplishments. For example, in the second job you analyzed and processed rebate payments. How many? How many new hires and associates did you mentor?
For the third job, I'd take out "quickly and accurately". You state you found opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency. That sounds somewhat passive to me, and you don't state how you improved processes or increased efficiency.
Under skills, you state you give presentations as part of team training. What types of presentations? To how many people, at what professional level?
That sort of thing.

First of all, Thank you to every one who has given me advice. I appreciate you taking the time to do it. I've made most of the recommended changes. The one thing I had trouble with was finding actual numbers of payments for the Client Share position, each quarter we did a couple hundred payments. Instead I added that they were across all lines of business. I know that our Account Management has seperate teams to handle each line of business.
