Pen in dryer=major ink stains...help!

Any good ideas to get ink stains out of clothes? I tried something I read online combining rubbing alcohol and vinegar. I was going to also wash in oxi clean. Any other ideas?

  • You can use rubbing alcohol to remove most of it, but honestly, the clothes are probably ruined.

Non-aresol hair spray has waved me many of times with ink. I would give it a try.

I wonder if Prince William and Kate are registered at Target?
  • Try Tide Stain release- it has gotten every stain out of my clothes, including grease stains.  Spray it on and let it sit for quite a while, then spray it again before you stick it in the wash.  Don't dry the clothes until the stain is out.

This but it might be too late as the ink is not fresh.  I would still try it before you wash with anything else.  Spray until saturated with hair spray, let it soak in and then wash again.

  • Ditto, rubbing alcohol will even get sharpie ink out of tablecloths and cotton as long as it's not washed-in, and it might work with your situation, but I say find a thrift store or good sale otherwise and just replace the lost clothes.
