Re: Your Daily Organizing

  • I've been using a planner for the last couple years, but now since I have a droid with a calendar and full keyboard I put a lot of those vital things in my phone! I have it everywhere I go and am not having to lug my organizer/ planner/ datebook around all the time. If you don't have a phone with a calendar as easy to use I did like my planner.

  • I am not an organized person AT ALL. I have a planner (thats in a stack of books somewhere...) and my phone is old so I dont have anything saved on it. I really need to start getting organized a little before LO comes so I will probably keep checking back on this to see the posts Smile

  • Schedule-wise I basically know when we have something going on and DH just asks me :) For big stuff like trips, birthdays, concerts, etc. I'll write it on our wall calendar, but weekly stuff like dinner plans i tend to just remember. Our day-to-day schedule is always the same (work, my gym schedule, etc.) so it's not really hard to keep track of that.

We do have a running to-do list on google docs so that when we have a weekend free we can check it and see what we want to cross off!

Same here... Everything is on my Iphone; however, I do want to create a family event website, but don't think our extended family will join/enjoy the project management of logging everything in. Sad

  • I put appointments (hair, doctor, dentist, etc.) on my Outlook calendar. Everything else I just remember, I have a good memory for dates. DH and I will check with each other before firming up social plans, or if a friend sends out an email and about going out to dinner or something we'll check with each other on dates. Usually at the beginning of each week we'll discuss what we have going on that week - softball, hair appointment, etc.

  • I have a little pocket calendar that I write our events on.  My daily schedule doesn't change much but H's does.  So we have a dry erase calendar on our fridge that we update every month and H writes his schedule there.  Hopefully when I get a smart phone next year I can keep track of it on google calendar or something like that

  • This planner is my life:

I have been using it for about 5 years now so its kind of beat up, but I keep track of EVERYTHING in it. Schedules, Jeremy's events at work, bills, birthdays, the works. I would be so lost without it.

  • I keep things in my blackberry. We tried to do a wall hanging one but we forgot to write in it. For now I just keep track of everything when there are additions to the family we'll have to sync up somehow.
  • DH and I use our calendars on our phone. For meals and stuff I use a dry erase board and I'll put stuff on there if there are any activities coming up
  • outlook calender that sync's with my phone...  and without it i'd be SUPER LOST!

  • Currently we have a decorative calendar that holds not so important dates and then I have a personal day planner where I list all of my work-related appointments and personal obligations. I think I might look into Google Calendar because, from what I understand, you can link up e-mail addresses with others and that will give me the option to have DH know exactly what's going on in the future so he can't say, "You never told me that!" :)

  • We have a wall calendar hanging in our kitchen with big things on it (H's working weekends, weddings, showers, etc).  I also have a planner that I keep in my purse with most of the same things written in it.  I have to keep a planner/calendar with me all the time so we know when DH is working.

  • I heavily rely on Google calendar, it is amazing and a life-saver!  My DH just checks this calendar all the time when he wants to plan something :)
