Can anyone help me? Moving recommendations
Good morning!
I was wondering if anyone could help me. My H & I will be moving to NC in July. We have decided to rent for the first few months, but are also trying to determine where we want to eventually buy. H will be working in Charlotte, and I will be working in Kings Mountain. We'd like to find somewhere in between.
Belmont has been recommended to us, but all I'm seeing online is gated communities, which doesn't exactly appeal to us.
I'm open to any and all suggestions. We go back and forth on whether we want a small town where we can walk to restaurants, etc, or somewhere out a little more secluded where we can build. I just don't know really where to start looking, so any insight would be helpful.

I'll look into Mt. Holly. The goal is to find somewhere where neither of us have to drive 40 minutes, but if it comes to it. The drive will probably be made by me since my job is PT.
