We all need to watch this.
I love following Roger Ebert on Facebook and Twitter. He posts such good stuff. Anyway, after Beyonce's "We can run the world" performance on Oprah, this young woman made this video:
here. Amen.
My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.

Re: We all need to watch this.
OMW! What a buzzkill! It's a freakin' Beyonce pop song that really just another girl anthem.
Here are the lyrics:

I think that girl needs to tone it down.
The woman in the video actually responded to comments like that with this caption under the video on the you tube page:
"It's a song. I get it. It's just a song. Continue Reading.
This video is not about Beyonce. It's not even really about this song. My point is NOT that she shouldn't have made this song because of X, Y, and Z.
My point IS: Oh, Look! X, Y, and Z exist and this song is a great tie-in to a discussion of feminism.
If you've watched some of my other videos, you would be able to sense the sarcastic tone. Relax."
So, is she sarcastic or serious? I thought she was serious and (inaccurately) responding to the song, which I thought was just annoying. If she's being sarcastic, it's less annoying.
I agree.
