My uncle had his open heart/valve replacement & triple bypass surgery today. The operation went well; please keep him in your prayers that he has an easy and quick recovery. He'll be 84 the end of this month.

Also a good friend and longtime neighbor of ours passed away last night. She was in her mid 60s and while she seemed to get exercise every night, she had a lot of trouble with her heart. She became really sick about 6 weeks ago and ended up in ICU for awhile with organ shut-down. Eventually she started to feel better but was given a tracheotomy and had to go through extensive rehab. My mom saw her yesterday & she seemed to have been improving; however she took a turn for the worst late last night and before her husband and kids could get there she was already gone. Her youngest daughter is one of my sister's best friends. Her husband also suffers from liver cancer. He's been doing better since his treatments and with this being so sudden I feel so bad for him. Please keep their family in your prayers. They're amazing people.

ETA: She died late last night, time of death called this morning. It's exactly 3 months today for my dad.
