Dress pants.. where do you get yours from

My wardrobe is lacking in the dress pants/trouser department. I have 2 pairs. One pair is ridiculously old. The second pair I wore yesterday and they are the most unflattering pant ever. I only wore them because I went to the effort to iron them. So where do you get your dresser clothes.

Side note: I typically wear dark denim to work, or skirts. My wardrobe for work really only depends on me being fashionable. I can wear almost anything but there are days when I would like to dress a bit nicer and not have to wear a pencil skirt.

Re: Dress pants.. where do you get yours from

  • Well, I generally wear black pants, skirts or dresses (denim is not allowed), but I find most of mine at Banana Republic or the Limited. Both store tend to have a good selection and you can always get them on sale. Good luck and happy shopping!
  • I'm a fan of NY & Co. pants; they flatter my body and the sizing seems to be consistent. Also a fan of Loft pants, but I have to go in-store to buy them; the same fit can vary wildly on me, and I usually have to get those tailored a bit to fit well.

  • I like you wear mostly dark denim, but I try to "dress up" at least one day a week. I have some khaki pants from old navy I love. I find most of my black pants and dressier tops at kohls or belk.

  • I mostly get mine at N&Y and Co., Banana Republic, Kohl's and Maurice's.

  • My favorite black dress pants are my trouser pants from Gap. I also have a nice pair of grayish/brown pants from Limited, but I have to try theirs on all the time, because the sizing seems off.

  • I tend to go with Loft or Express for pants.  I'm totally jealous that you get to wear fashionable jeans to work.

  • Almost all of my dess pants are from The Limited. I love the way they fit, and they have good sales pretty often.

I only find pants that fit without doing something weird in the small of my back at Kohl's and Coldwater Creek.

    Me too!

I also really like Banana Republic's dress pants... depends how much I feel like spending that day.

  • I have to order/buy my dress pants in tall sizes because my legs are so long so I gravitate towards stores that have different inseams for their sizes. I shop at NY&Co and also Victoria's Secret and they have a pretty good selection (especially Victoria's Secret since they have a multitude of colors!) and they come in all sizes short or tall
