As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. I deleted my post because I saw below in the kaylee page that they already talked about the OGET. Oops!

Glad to meet another alt. cert. teacher. They're making it more and more difficult to do that program, so I am glad I went through it when I did. What level do you teach? I'm high school English.

  • I just noticed that post too lol. I got alternatively certified in 2007 while I was working at the State Dept of Education--so glad I did it then too! I taught MS and HS Math from February 2007 - May 2010. This year I taught 2nd grade, quite a change but I loved it! I'll be teaching it again next year. I'm actually certified to teach HS English but I don't think I could ever actually teach it so props to you! :)

    Oh no...props to you for teaching the little ones! I love my older kids but the lower elementary students scare me.
