Lawn service rec?
Neither DH or I are able to mow our lawn right now, so we need to hire someone.
Does anyone have any recommendations? We are on the east side of St. Paul

I don't know if he does work in St. Paul since he is based out of Champlin or somewhere on the other side of the world like that, but...

We used him a couple years ago and were VERY happy with his work.
that's my brother! : ) he lives in anoka. it never hurts to ask but with gas prices at $4 a gallon, it's not likely that he'd drive there for one job.

Thanks for the suggestion - I think I'll keep looking for someone a bit more local. I can't imagine it would be worth his time to drive down here.
DH (unexpectedly) had a brain tumor removed last week, and I have been having strong cramps/contractions ever since his health issues started emerging two weeks ago. I am sure that my issues are stress related, but I am still supposed to be taking it easy.
We are both out of work right now (FMLA due to his surgery), so I need to find something cost effective. I was hoping I could find a neighborhood kid for $20ish bucks a week (our yard is not large) but no one is interested. (is my kid-rate way off base?)

I got his number from you a while ago and kept it becasue we liked him/his work very much. He came out to Maplewood for us, but that was before gas prices were so high and I think because I knew you, he came further than he normally would AND he gave us a really good price too. I hang on to his number just in case.
Becca - I'm really sorry to hear about your troubles. I'll be keeping your family in my prayers. That can't be an easy situation to be in.
And no - I don't think your "kid" price is off...seems reasonable to me.
