So, the people who gave away all their $ & possessions...
I wonder what the people are thinking now who gave away all their money and possessions to get ready for the rapture Saturday. I'd love to hear some interviews with them because the whole thing fascinates me. I also want to hear what Harold Camping has to say about this whole business. I don't suppose those people can just go to the bank and say, "Oops! Guess I need my money back..." I read about a guy in New York who spend his whole life savings ($140,000) on 3,000 posters. Now he has nothing and is still here...

Re: So, the people who gave away all their $ & possessions...
His daughter spoke publicly from their home yesterday, and then he came out eventually and spoke.
I believe he said something along the lines of "I'm bewildered, and confused", and "I have a lot of unanswered questions"...he's supposed to make a statement again today.
Ooh, I didn't know he had made an appearance. I'll be interested to hear what he has to say. I wonder if he'll have any followers after this...?
I'm baffled and fascinated at the same time by people like this.
I read this over the weekend that tries to explain using math how people arrived at May 21, 2011. http://www.ebiblefellowship.com/outreach/tracts/may21/
And from judgementday2011.com:
I?m Sorry You Weren?t
Saved in the Rapture
Jesus has come, few were saved, even less noticed his presence, but May 21st was still Judgement Day. If you are reading this blog, then you were not saved by Jesus in the Second Coming, and have been left behind during the End of Days. There are just five months remaining until the End of The World on October 21 2011. Prepare yourself for the End Times now by stocking up on water, canned goods, and appropriate clothing before the End of The World.
So....is anyone claiming they know someone who WAS raptured??
Good point. I hadn't done the math. Another website is saying "billboards" and not "posters". Hmmm. Either way it appears the guy spent everything he had in his bank account on something.
I think they were billboards.
I can't wait to hear what Camping has to say, but I'm sure it will be something along the lines that he miscalculated and the new date is this ______. I am sad for the people that are brainwashed by him.

They joked on the radio that Camping will come out of hiding and say, "Oops, I forgot to carry a 1!" Hah.
I suppose I can joke about it because I still have a savings account in tact...? :-)
Ok, I just glanced at this...did you notice that it says Jesus was born in 7 BC? How does that make sense?

I saw that. The whole thing made me scratch my head. In the most basic terms, their actual numbers add up mathematically....but where did they get those numbers and how did they interpret their findings? That is what I find fascinating. People can really be convinced of just about anything...
I totally agree with you, and I am also fascinated by the whole thing. I read an article this weekend that talked about a woman that was going to go to medical school, but instead sold everything and moved to Florida with her husband and daughter. They budgeted just enough money to make it to 5/21, since they wouldn't be here after that. They have a 2 year old and a baby on the way. How can someone that was going to go to medical school logically believe something like this?! What are they going to do now? What about her 2 kids?!
I really can't wrap my head around it!

He's claiming it actually happened...

If you read the 'about' section on the judgmentday2011.com site, it's meant to make fun of the whole thing. Pretty funny blog if you read it from that perspective actually.
This whole thing makes me roll my eyes, yet I'm intrigued by the crazy..
