Re: Runners Check in
Yay! I get to join this thread now.
I'm running with Team In Training, gearing up to do the Nike Women's Half Marathon. We just had kick-off last Saturday. So, for this week I've been instructed to do a 30 minute run at an easy pace, most nights of the week (except Friday). Saturday we have our first coached long run.
I'm a totally newbie runner, so hopefully I won't end up looking like a total loser out there on Saturday! But, I'm really looking forward to the training season, and seeing how I progress.
1) I'm slowly getting back into it. I'm at about 3 runs a week and I want to bump it to 4.
2) I plan to run 3 tomorrow, 4.5 Thursday, and then Saturday and Sunday. I think my long run will be around 6-7.. not sure yet.
3) I love being able to sleep in and its still cool out. When its hot, I have to get up early on weekends to run which has its pros and cons but I do like sleeping in on weekends.

1) How are things going? Fine. I haven't followed my training schedule for the last week since I was out of town. I should go for a run today since I have the day off.
2) Plan for this week? Run Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. The first 3 should be around 3 miles each. Sunday's will be at least 4 miles.
3) What is your favorite thing about running in the spring? That all the trees and flowers are filling in. It's so pretty!
1) How are things going? I ran 15 FIFTEEEEEEEEEEEEN! miles on Sunday. I can't believe it! I'm very proud of myself. I planned to do it in 3 hours. I clocked it at 3:20 so I was a bit dissappointed. I'm not fast, but I ran it!
2) Plan for this week? I ran yesterday and kicked buttt the last 1/2 mile. I am just doing several longer mid week runs as I hve a friend in town and won't run this weekend.
3) What is your favorite thing about running in the spring? The beautiful PNW...the trees are SO green and the flowers are in bloom. It makes me happy.
