SR: What's in your purse? Updated

Since we did the post purses and it was fun to see; one of the games I'm going to do for the bridal shower I'm hosting is a "What's in Your Purse" game.

Girls will be given the following list with all items assigned points.  They'll be get points for whatever they have, but only can count one item in each category (not sure how to word this, but essentially meaning if they have 3 pens in their purse, they only get 1 point, instead of 3 points (since pens are valued at 1pt)).

So my question to you is, what am I missing and what do you think of the point values?  I want the less common items to get more points.

Wallet -1 pt

Library card - 2 pts

Coupon - 2 pts

Lipgloss/stick ? 1 pt

Chapstick -1 pt

Kleenex ? 2 pts

Keys ? 1 pt

Mirror ? 2 pts

Gum ? 1 pt

Mint ? 1 pt

Camera ? 1 pt

Sunglasses ? 1 pt

Band-Aids ? 3 pts

Perfume ? 2 pts

Deodorant ? 2 pts

Headache reliever ? 2 pts

Writing utensil ? 1 pt

Nail clippers ? 2 pts

Nail file ? 1 pt

Bottle of water ? 2 pts

Store reciept - 1 pt

book/ereader - 2 pts
Antacids - 1pt
Snack - 1pt
Fruit -1pt
Allergy meds - 1pt
Pad/tampon - 1pt
Elastic/hair tie - 1pt

We played this game at my shower; I'm trying to think of what all was on the list...other than the things you named, I can remember, condom, diaper, ipod/music player, deck of cards, cell phone, calendar/day planner, and flash light.  If I can remember any more, I'll post em.

*Funny side note, my Mom actually got points for the diaper one because she happened to have a small pack of depends for my grandmom in her purse lol*

I would personally do a couple of like 10 point items.  Like, if you have a vibrator in your purse and are willing to let people know that, you get 10 points.  lmao

Also, one time I did a certain amount of pennies.  Like, let's say the wedding is on the 25th.  You had to have 25 pennies in your purse.

I agree with this.  I would do a wider variety of points because if not, you're going to have a lot of people probably tie or all be right around the same number.  I think the diaper one for mine was 10pts, the condom was 8pts, etc.

  • Good point!  What do you think should be the higher points?

I have to keep it PG.  The brides mom and gma are really conservative and even the bride is (so x the condom and vibrator).

I could do diaper (funny about your mom Xan), but I already know one woman there has a newborn so that may be too easy?

  • maybe the shower invite?

Not really, because I would think a NEWBORN's mom would most likely have it in a diaper bag and not her purse.

Could you do a bra and/or panties or would that be a little too PG13 for the crowd?  I've been known to have a bra in my purse if I went to the gym or something and changed into a sports bra there.  That would be something that could be higher in points.

Oh, also you could add jewelry.  I always throw earrings and stuff in there.

  • Gift certificates? Someone else's medical stuff (I always carry the animals' pet cards with me, no idea why), discount cards, pictures, candy. My MIL carries a wine bottle opener since they go to so many parties with their wino buddies on the weekends, and claims that "you never know when you'll need one" - it's a small one, but still odd. Do you want to go so far as to include the ladies with diabetes and ask for glucose checkers (whatever they're called).
  • what about a lighter?

    bottle of lotion?

a business card to ________ pick a place doesn't have to be once place but like to food joint or something?

    stamps?

    Birth control pills?
