Who are you rooting for in the finale tonight?
Any of the singers who already got voted out that you wish were in the finale instead or Lauren & Scotty?
How do you think this season compares to past seasons?

I loved Casey Abrams, he was so unique and different, maybe too different for America?
Out of the two left, I would have to pick Scotty. I like Lauren, but I prefer a male voice and Scotty seems so much more friendly and more real, IMO.
I'm rooting for Scotty ... not because Lauren is bad, but because Scotty is different as a true old-school country guy. Lauren is too much like too many Idol winners. I liked Scotty from the beginning, but I never thought he would make it this far, I just didn't think there were enough country fans out there, especially considering his traditional country style (as opposed to more pop-country like Carrie Underwood).
Both Lauren and Scotty are crazy talented given their young ages! They're both high school kids!
Casey was my favorite. I loved that he brought jazz to Idol! I still think he's the most talented musician this season (and maybe ever on Idol), but his style wasn't mainstream enough to win the competition.
I was really happy with this season, I think there was a good variety of different styles in the contestants and I enjoyed the new judges. I still kind of miss Simon, but I don't miss Paula or Kara.

I'm definitely rooting for Scotty over Lauren. Lauren bugs me for some reason and is too much like other contestants in the past.
I really wish Casey and Haley were still in it. They were my favorites. And I liked Paul too.
I miss Simon--I think the judges now are waaaayy too nice and don't really offer too much constructive criticism.
I forgot about Paul, so my answer would be Paul and Casey- both originals and would of thrived and hopefully will thrive from this show. I also had a soft spot for Chris Medina.
Scotty all the way!
I loved Casey too, and wish he was in the finale. I'm glad Haley is not in the final, she bugged the crap out of me!

Haley bugged you? What about her didn't you like? Or was it just one of those "there's something I don't like but I can't put my finger on it" type of things?
I didn't mind Haley. Didn't love her, but wasn't bothered by her.
I liked Paul at the beginning, but then he started to irritate me. The first time he wore the flowery suit it was cool & different. By the 3rd (or was it 4th?) time, it was getting old. Dude ... we can tell that's a repeat outfit, you don't forget a suit like that!
Jacob was my "he bugged the crap out of me" person this season.

Out of the current two, I'm rooting for Lauren. I think she has great potential if she gets over her nerves. I don't like Scotty because he sang that annoying 9/11 song. Maybe it's just because of my work with immigrants but I think that sort of song alienates a large segment of our population and keeps the slow embers of prejudice burning. We need to get over it. Flame me, call me unpatriotic, whatever. I couldn't care less.
I really wanted to see James and Haley in the final 2. I'm not really a metal person so I don't think I'd listen to James after AI but I love his story and he can sing. I didn't like Haley at first but she grew on me and I love her blues-ey voice.
Tired after a long morning of hiking and swimming.
I thought she was whiny and cocky. I also think that when she sang it was more like screaming half the time. There was some comment she made at the beginning of the season (like before anyone had voted for her) saying she just wanted to thank the fans or something. It was the way she said it that just rubbed me the wrong way...
