Trying to stay dry Tuesday
So, how did everyone fare in the storms last night? Anyone lose power? I bet H we would lose power (our neighborhood always is the first to go out if the wind blows the wrong way...) but we didn't! I hope everyone is doing well and didn't suffer any damage.
What's on the calendar for today? Work this morning/afternoon. Then going to a 31 Party at a friend's house, I've never been to one before so I am kind of excited! Then snuggling up with H and hopefully starting plans for our vacation to Ireland and Scotland!

Love the title of the post!
Last nite was interesting. DH made it to the airport just in time! We were driving home in the worst of it and when we got home we didn't have power! Welcome home DH! I love having him home but its odd. I think I need to get use to living with someone again! Thanks to everybody that asked abt me/hung out with me while he was gone. It made the time much more bearable!
Today DH and I are going out to lunch and building our pack n play! I'm excited! We will probably have to go grocery shopping too! YIPPIE!
Sorry for rambling abt DH! I'm excited he's home in case u couldn't tell!!
I am so glad he made it home safely!! I know you are glad to have him back and I am sure he is glad to be back! Enjoy him!! ...and learning to sleep on your side of the bed is going to be tough, that is the hardest part for me anyway...

We met MIL for dinner at Skyline before it started raining and then got stuck there for almost an hour because the weather got so bad. Luckily our power didn't go out, though it did in the middle of the night on Sunday.
At work today, then to the gym with DH after work.

"People talk about escapism as if it's a bad thing... Once you've escaped, once you come back, the world is not the same as when you left it. You come back to it with skills, weapons, knowledge you didn't have before. Then you are better equipped to deal with your current reality."

We kept power, but lost statelite tv for only 15 minutes. DH wanted me, the dog, the cat and him to go in the basement just in case. We made it about 15 minutes before we decided to just come back upstairs.
Need to throw away some dead plants that didnt quite make it.
Searching for stuff for a baby shower and a 1st birthday party today. Fun times.
I was in yoga class and pretty much missed the whole storm - could hear the thunder a few times, but that's it. A staff member came in to tell us that there was a tornado warning and that we were ok because we were in one of the tornado safety areas, but that we should stop class. He left and we were all like, "umm...why??" so we kept going! I had a fleeting thought that it would really suck if a tornado hit as someone was in a headstand, though! (Not me...can't do a headstand!) I was also eyeballing the giant mirror a little warily.
I was glad I wasn't home. We live on the third floor and I kind of flip out during tornado warnings because we have nowhere safe to go!! Something else to look forward to when we have the house!
I have kind of a slacker workload day, but I have to work 10-11 hours tomorrow so I'm just going to enjoy it. PT kicked my butt today, so I'm tired. Was going to ride my bike before the rain hit but 1.5 hours straight of strengthening exercises on my legs (primarily the bad one) knocked that idea right out of my head.
Tonight we're going to Montgomery Inn for H's birthday. I'm stoked about that. I want wings and ribs and shrimp!!!
I was scared bc I was home alone but it worked out. DH drove home during it. But we did fine.
I had a doctors appointment and I have a sinus infection that has gone into a bacteria infection.
