Tuesday Morning
GM Ladies. I can't post at work anymore since I've turned in my laptop so I'm doing a quick post from home before I leave and I'll check in on my phone throughout the day.
Friday was rough...our new pup, Cooper, passed away. We took him to the vet that morning instead of that afternoon because he still hadn't eaten anything and now wasn't drinking anything so I was a super worried new mom. He perked up a little at the vet and she wanted to keep him to give him fluids and everything. Well, right after lunch I got the call that he didn't make it. I was heartbroken and pissed that some douche could just leave these pups on the side of the road and not care. After all that, I told the girl we got him from so she could keep an eye on the other two pups. I found out they're doing much better so we'll probably get the brother and call him "Chance".
Other than that, it was a good but busy weekend. One of my bff's got hitched Sunday evening! The wedding was great and she was beautiful but it was hot as crap!
To finish this novel, I'm packing up my speech rooms today and waiting to hear about the PRN job. I'm kinda hoping I don't start there til next Monday so I can get a small break.

Oh my gosh!!! I'm soooooooo sorry!!! I know you just got him but that must have been terrible to go through!! I'm glad you have talked with the girl you got him from and can probably get Cooper's brother. But still, I'm sending hugs to you!!!

Today is sickly humid. Hate. MFD took the cover off the AC. AC season approaches. Where did Spring go?

Last night I came home, changed, and made spaghetti and meatballs. My mom came to pick up magazines, and we had a nice visit. She took some pillows off of my hands. These couches came with a zillion LARGE pillows.
Otherwise I didn't do much...three loads of laundry, ran and unloaded the dishwasher, packed lunch, and watched some shows.
Does anyone watch Army Wives? I think it has just stepped on to my chopping block.
This morning I slept in a bit and changed the sheets before I left. I have a dental cleaning today at lunch. Someone please send the waaaaaaaaahhmbulance to pick me up.
I do. This season is a little weak. However, I can't believe MIchael. I think he would have gotten off if she was by herself.
I am so sorry about Cooper.
I caught up on my DVR last night since Greg was working. Poor him he worked from 6am till 11pm and he didn't go in that early today but I think today is like 9am to 11pm again. Oh, the joys of managing a restaurant.
I'm hoping he can go to my baby doctor appointment tomorrow. I really wish I knew what they we gonna do at said appt. if it's really nothing I don't care if he goes or not but I know since he missed the last one he does want to go.
This week is crazy at work. With our accreditation people here yesterday and they are coming back tomorrow. Pre-K graduation is thursday, school year end Friday, trying to get ready for camp. I'm glad this is a long weekend and one that I am not working because we have a wedding. I'll be glad to have one day to veg and one day to clean the house and get errands done.

My supervisors are at a conference in CA until Thursday and I'm the boss until Friday so I am going to nest away until Friday!
Emily - I am so sorry about Cooper! I can't even imagine how heartbreaking that would be.
I joined a gym (yesterday!) and I have an appointment with a personal trainer for next week. I'm really excited about putting 110% into getting healthy.
H and I are going to a wedding for one of his HS friends this weekend. We're staying at his parents' house and they're watching Petey for us.
I'm exhausted because I stayed up to watch the Bruins win and then got up at 5:15AM for an exercise class. And very shortly, I have a call with some lawyers who don't understand anything about wind energy production. I've been on calls with them before and it's like getting a root canal.

AFM-nada. went for a run and tonight and tomorrow is dedicated for packing and cleaning before our long weekend.
Morning all. Busy weekend. Took yesterday off work and was MIA all day since we didn't have internet until late last night. I think we are about 85% moved. Our basement and garage in the old joint are still full of shirt making junk. DH has been assigned the task of taking care of it. I want nothing to do with it. We've had that shiz since we closed our store in '07 and have moved it FOUR times since then. Enough already. Just give it all away and take the loss.
The new house is amazing. So much space. DH and I have to yell to find each other tho. That will take some adjustment. Pug face is all freaked out and refuses to leave my side. Hope she does ok at home w/o me there today. Saturday was hell. DH and I loaded and unloaded his big 30' tortilla truck ourselves. Couldn't move at the end of the day.
Sunday we got up at SIX am to meet the movers. DH mixed up the times, and they didn't show up until NINE. I told DHI was going to cut his balls off if he mixed up the times, I was so pissed. But then he provided Starbucks and all was well with the world. Movers turned out to be some punk-looking thugs who kept saying, "This place is reeeallll nice. Great place to party. Call us if you have one." Great....
Yesterday was shopping day. Went to Comcast to get new cable boxes; Target for plastic bins; Pei Wei for lunch; Home Depot for flowers, dryer cord, rake, grass seed, and light changing pole; Costco for everything (including lettuce, apples, TP and a new throw blanket). Tonight will be grocery shopping and our first homemade dinner at the house (King Ranch Chicken Casserole, DH's fave), and about 18 loads of laundry.
Kudos to DH for figuring out how to get our 3 pronged dryer plug into a 4 pronged outlet. The Depot has the dryer that matches our front loading washer on clearance for HALF OFF. We'll be going back hopefully sometime this week. If it's a 3 pronged plug tho, DH will call the whole thing off

Hello Tuesday. I came into the office this morning and my co-worker was eating something he picked up from AMPM. That sh!t smelled nasty, I wanted to puke. I had to step out or I was going to be sick.
I am committed to working out today, we'll see how that goes. I can't wait to watch Glee tonight...yipee. I plan on doing two loads of laundry, and also want to start packing.
I hope this week goes by super fast because I'm already looking forward to the weekend.

DH had to stay in the Bay Area last night for work, so I took the pooch to the dog park as a consolation. The old biddies usually recognize him, but I'm like the working parent who never goes to school functions with the puppy, so they didn't know me. Boo. This one old lady is the like the queen of the dog park, even though her dog just lays there the whole time. Anyway, I sat next to her at the table, the only open seat, and was shocked at how racist she was. Saying, "talk English!" (yes, just like that) quite loudly when there was an Indian woman and her children speaking in their native tongue. Then proceeded to say she's fine if they learn English, then they can still speak their native language. Why would she assume these children DON'T speak English? Old biddy.
Anyway, pooch was so bummed that DH wasn't there, it made me sad. She kept looking at the garage door waiting for him to come home.

It was completely insane. I was sitting down to read because I was exhausted, but I just gathered up my stuff and walked around. I wanted the puppy to get to run around still, but couldn't be near her.
Oh, and then the guy she was talking to was cajoling her a bit about it, and said that his grandkids "speak Asian" (!!!!) because their mother is Asian. She was like, but they also speak English, right? And he goes, of course. She clarified that her problem is with people who don't ever learn English. Sigh. That's when I walked away.
Emily - I am SO sorry about Cooper. I can't even imagine how devastating that must have been. I'm happy it sounds like you're getting a new puppy though.

Feeling productive so far today at work but have a long afternoon ahead still. Last night H went to get his hair cut after work. He calls me up and goes "....it's VERY short. They just kept cutting and cutting." I didn't know what to expect when he got home but he walked in the door and literally has almost no hair left. Just some fuzz. It took some getting used to but he looks so freaking handsome with it this way I can't stand it. He looks like a new man. Amazing what a little haircut can do. Lucky me
I told myself I was gonna do the treadmill last night but my college room mate ended up calling. We hadn't spoken in awhile and had ALOT to get caught up on. We ended up talking for over TWO hours! Marathon phone date. I miss her alot and wish we lived closer. Someday H and I will move back to NY and we'll be able to really hang out again. That makes me happy. Gotta get back on the treadmill bandwagon TONIGHT. No excuses.

They tested him for parvo and it came back negative. The vet said it was something internal but with him being just left on the side of the road she was really just guessing and with the fact that his glucose and other levels dropped and didn't come back up, she guessed it was something internal.
