Re: Sunday baking/cooking?
Chocolate Chip cookies from scratch
sm23 - where was the corn from? I live near Brentwood and can not wait until fresh corn is in season here. I get excited each time my H and I drive by the corn fields and see baby stalks, lol.
IUI #1 10/12/11 (Bravelle + HCG + Prometrium & acupuncture) = 10/26 BFP! Beta #1=250, Beta #2= 615. 1st u/s 11/8.
Did lots of cooking and baking:
Blueberry Streusal Muffins
Broccoli Casserole
Crockpot turkey meatballs and homemade pasta sauce
Cilantro Lime Rice
Homemade Tortilla Chips and Mango Salsa
This was a big cooking weekend for us.
Friday night we did a cooking class at Cucina Bambini in San Jose that was really funny. We made chicken, spinach, and mozzarella wontons, ceasar salad, roasted salmon with oyster mushrooms and crispy potatoes, and creme brule.
Saturday night I made steak with sweet potato gnocchi, and corn on the cob.
Yesterday we went to a potluck dinner and I made my smoked gouda mac and cheese, but my friend is a really strict vegetarian so there was no bacon and instead I added onions to it.
This week I have friends from home visiting so I will be doing a lot of cooking and baking. Baked chicken, dressing, cupcakes, blondies, crepes, gnocchi, quiche, and a bunch of other stuff on are the menus.
Tea Time for Lulu
It was a crazy busy weekend, and we were out for most of it (birthday parties and other get togethers) or I was doing homework. I didn't cook much, but I baked cupcake pops for church.
I don't remember, sorry :-/ Was definitely somewhere nearby though.
Let me tell you about my cooking this weekend! It was my SIL wedding shower, and her MOH and I spent ALL OF SATURDAY cooking! We made:
-mozzarella crostini
-strawberry-avocado salsa
-guacamole
-strawberry-chicken salad tea sandwiches
-cream cheese and cucumber tea sandwiches
-BLT tea sandwiches
-seared ahi tuna on pita chips with sesame miso sauce
-strawberry shortcake sushi
-strawberry rhubarb mini pies
-strawberry basil mojitos
That's just what I remember off the top of my head!
What is this? It sounds fabulous?! Like all my favorite things in one!
