My mom went to one of the local grocery (Meijer) stores this week to get some groceries and use as many coupons as possible (they have been on a super tight budget since my Dad lost his job last year).
She spent hours in the store.
A store manager was the person that happened to ring her up, and she started noticing on the screen some of the coupons she gave him weren't doubling like normal. When she questioned it, he was really rude to her and told her that they only double the first 2 coupons on the same item (so if you get multiple of the same item, and use a coupon for each- you only get the double coupon value for your firts two of those items/coupons.)
The store manager was very rude about it, and she said it was like he enjoyed telling her that. She wont be shopping there anymore for this reason. He should never have treated her like that.
So, check the coupon policy for the store you shop at before you make your trip!
Re: A heads up for couponers.
I noticed stores are changing their policies so it is a good idea to check. I really think that Extreme show is going to mess coupons up.
I do think that was rude of him. He could have just explained nicely about it.
