As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. NOVA GTG -- time to make a plan!
I've been a little MIA lately, but yes, I did kinda offer to set up an Arlington (Metro-friendly, not too far across the river) GTG.
So -- who's interested? PM me and I'll add you to an Evite.
And -- anyone actually from Arlington, have a suggestion as to place?
Reston/Herndon/points farther west Nesties: we're going to meet the Maryland ladies closer in this time. We can set up a GTG nearer to us, later.
Anyone in? I'm thinking June, perhaps a Tuesday or Wed night (less crowded)?

i'm not sure i could make it (life is kind of hectic right now), but a good place for HH in Arlington is Restaurant 3 near Clarendon metro. Their bar area is huge (and has a large sit-down area).
Another idea is Gua-rapo near Courthouse. It has good specials from my memory and is practically dead during happy hour (ie, you could take over the restaurant)
And, a third option is Eleventh St. Lounge (clarendon), but this place seems to be busier than the other 2.
Sounds fun, count me in please :-)
I've wanted to try Gua-rapo, and any place that's not crowded gets my vote!

I know Vapiano's has worked well for downtown GTGs - there's one in Ballston as well, just a couple blocks from the metro.

I personally love Restaurant Three. The Mad Rose Tavern has a great back room and patio and wine specials for happy hour - good stuff! Liberty Tavern is also delicious and usually has half-price wine for happy hour.
And one more suggestion - there IS a Vapiano's within walking distance of the Ballston Metro.
