Good Morning
Oh man I'm dragging my heels today. We played baseball until 11pm last night, so naturally we didn't get to bed until midnight. Then I was up at 5 to get to work early for the second day in a row. Gotta love deadlines!
Tonight hopefully we'll get to watch Glee and spend some time outside. I have no idea what the weather is supposed to do, but I've decided that it will be nice, you hear me Mother Nature?
I asked Derek and Erin last night if they had any requests for dinners for the week. Erin's response? "Meat" Poor girl has had to eat all sorts of veggies she wouldn't normally be exposed to living at our place. Last night was her first experience with asparagus!!

Good morning, ladies.
All sorts of goings-on here. Today my daughter graduates from high school. And yesterday she accidentally ran over Cheddar with the car. He has a broken pelvis, and is expected to be ok, but she feels horrible. Poor kitty. And there's likely to be a throwdown with the exH today, since we had a fight yesterday and I called him a shiiity father. Well, sometimes the truth hurts, buddy. Don't get in my face about being a non-supportive Mom (wtf?? he bailed on all of us 13 years ago).

I'm awake feeding Edmund.
I'm frustrated with H. He complained all day yesterday about how tired he was. Yes it was his first day back to work but he got 7 hours of sleep before he went. I on the other hand only got 5 maybe 6. I took Edmund with me to dinner and H stayed home and slept. He got up around 9pm and said how nice it was going to be to get 10 hours of sleep.He did maybe 1 feeding yesterday while I did the rest and he never offered to help.
I haven't had more than 6 at a time since Edmund was born and it just pissed me off. I didn't say anything to him because I didn't want to sound like a ***.
It's my birthday and I get to a Sounders match tonight with H, friends and Edmund.

Last night we successfully threw our first little gathering of friends. We hadn't entertained at all at the condo since it was too small, so we were really happy to be able to do it.
I think this was also Sherlock's first big party and he survived pretty well. He avoided the action for most of it but snuggled up with a few of our friends for a bit. The weird thing is that when it was time for his dinner, he made a total liar out of me after I had just told people that he doesn't touch people food... normally he'd start bothering us to feed him, but instead he just went and started nipping at empty plates. Weird.
Then we stayed up late cleaning up and watching the hockey game. Now I have lots of lemon ricotta cheesecake leftover...mmm.

I am spending most of today writing an IEP, and testing students. The 8th graders have a serious case of senioritis, so I am happy to take a break from them.
After work, I am getting my hair done, heading home, and hopefully going for a run. Pretty boring evening for me.

Nothing too exciting here. I did a quick yoga workout this morning and have a dentist appointment this afternoon. Not looking forward to another evening of doing our taxes tonight. I definitley miss having the accountants do it like the last two years.

Happy Birthday Ciara! I hope your DH steps it up. Trust me, I know what it is like to have no sleep and work, however (even though you still feel tired) you slowly get used to it. I have just accepted the fact that I will get about 5-6 hours of sleep a night, be up for the day at 4 or 5, and then do it all over again.
Today is my Friday! YAY! Once I am out of work jail, I will be starting to go through things for our neighborhood yardsale this weekend. We have about 6 families participating so it should be fun. (so hey if any of you want to travel to Maine, stop on by, we have a little of everything, lol).

We got poured on last night, but I was able to get everyone inside before the downpour really began. Then it was all of a sudden clear, hot and sticky. Today is gorgeous though! I think a book on the deck with some nice iced tea should be amazing for the afternoon.
Happy birthday Ciara! Hopefully YH gets some sleep and then realizes he's being an asshat.

Ciaram22- I remember those days. I know this doesn't make it any better right now, but remember the sleeping does get better. As crazy as it sounds you will kinda miss the days like your having now. Preston never wants to cuddle anymore and some nights I secretly wish he would wake up just so I could cuddle him and rock him back to sleep. Hope things get better soon and Happy Birthday.
Last night I got some much needed cleaning done and I baked two cakes. I am going to try my hand at fondant this week/weekend. Tonight it is suppose to rain here and DH has to be at work an hour early. He will be gone when me and the boys get home so I am thinking something easy for dinner and catching up on tv!

Happy Wednesday, everyone. Today's also my birthday and the day of the Paul Simon concert! I'm so excited.
I cannot wait to see him perform. First we're going to a great restaurant I love, then off to the concert. I'm going to be tired tomorrow, but who cares? Paul Simon!
Yesterday we kept our motivation going and hit the gym, then had a great and simple tuna salad tostada dinner. H duplicated it from something we had down in Mexico. Very low-fat, low-cal, high protein--perfect after a weight workout.

Kyle's interview went really well yesterday (or so I'm told). Based on some things that they said, I'm expecting that he'll get an offer, now we're just hoping that it will be high enough. We looked at our finances last night to figure out just how much it needs to be for him to be able to accept it.
Otherwise, it's gross here. We have thunderstorm and tornado watches today. One bad storm just passed. It's odd because I feel like the bad storms usually hit at night instead of during the day, so I feel bad for the animals home by themselves. They all really hate storms.

Last night was rather uneventful. I worked late, and then did some laundry and watched the Bulls lose. Sad. They really need to get it together if they are going to advance.
Today should be a relatively busy day but I'm hoping just to get stuff done. The dreary weather isn't helping me focus though. I really just want to crawl back into bed.

Last night I cleaned the house. whee. Paint consult is this afternoon.
I'm at work early because apparently 12 engineers don't know how to set up a webinar that is to start before I usually get in. I'm on about 4 1/2-5 hours sleep because DH is out of town and I was afraid to oversleep. My last day of 28 isn't shaping up to be anything spectacular.
