Make me wish I was a stay at home mom...Its 70+ here right now and I'm stuck at my desk and would rather be home with the boy playing and enjoying the SUN!

I feel so blessed that I'm able to SAH and enjoy this beautiful day.... I just finished gardening/planting all our flowers/watering them... when C wakes up we're meeting one of DH's coworkers wife and DD for a walk in the park and lunch/playdate at our house afterwards :-)
That being said, rainy days being stuck inside suck!
lol, my boss came out as I was re-writing the board and I told him that I thought I would re-write it a few more times just for good measure
when i was at my last institution, i sometimes would go to meetings i normally skipped for an excuse to go outside in nice weather.
Definitely get out and enjoy it after work. The weather here is gross today and is supposed to be tomorrow. They did cancel the tornado watch, though, so hopefully the storms won't be as severe.

There's a trail around a lake about 1 1/2 miles away from here, I used to go with my work bff every day it wasn't raining or freezing cold, anything over 45* was fair game. Now that she's not here anymore, we try to meet 1 or 2x a week to walk and chat when it's nice out, her drive is a bit longer now, but if she eats in the car we can make it about 2 miles (2x around) over lunch.
Those days are always so nice, my head is so clear when I come back to work!

I would love to but we just got it today after 10+ days of rain so I"m not sending it away just yet
According to the stats, my area has been rainy 85-90% of the days in April and May. I don't even really remember what the sun looks like LOL, because even the non rainy days have been cloudy.
I'll take some sun too, when you're done with it

Okay- that was definitely not what I meant nor was it my intention!! I was by NO means bragging... I know that I'm lucky to have the ability to SAH and I was by no means trying to make anyone feel bad about their situation. I was merely commenting on the post by saying that I'm lucky to be able to enjoy the day, but that SAH is not always roses and sunshine... and not just in the meteorological sense.
Nevermind. And you ladies wonder why I rarely post?? Because anytime I comment on anything, it's always misinterpreted and taken out of proportion. Some of you girls know me better than others, and I know that those girls realize that my intentions are never what many of you make them seem to be.
and in response to this- believe me... there are few days that I'm actually able to "make our house look good." SAH is just as demanding (if not more) than a 9-5 job. I did both (SAH and Working Mom). I look back on when I was a WM and I don't know how I did it all... so I have MAJOR respect for those moms!!!!
