Awesome! I think I'm going to attempt some planters on our deck - if I can swing it money wise. We have SO much going on next month that requires gift $$ (baby showers, birthdays and graduation parties!) that we probably won't have much fun money left over.
Depending on how big you wanted the planters to be you could probably get out for $50. Our two large boxes ended up costing about $100 total. The biggest cost is the soil. But I totally agree with the next few months being expensive! It's that time of year!

I just read your birth story! My least favorite Dr. delivered Emma too. Except, she didn't pleasantly surprise me and proved to be just as much of an A-hole as I thought she was.
Ugh, that sucks! Are you with the same Dr/practice for this pregnancy?

I am actually. I really like my Dr. and most of the other Dr.'s so I decided to stay with the practice. I'm still on the fence about trying for a VBAC or just scheduling a CS, but at least with a CS I'd be guaranteed to have my own Doctor! I realize it has to be that way and you basically end up with whoever's on call, but it really sucks that you build the most rapport with your own Dr. and chances are they won't even be able to deliver your baby at the big moment.
Nice story, minus the nurse part. Where did you deliver? I was in the room when my sister gave birth and right before my friend did and the nurses were very helpful. I was surprised by your story. You must have just got a curmudgeon.
I delivered at RO Beaumont. I had a really good experience otherwise. I think I just got stuck w/ a nurse who hated her job or something.
I'd think deciding whether or not to try for a VBAC would be a tough decision for lots of reasons. You are so right, it sucks to work w/ a dr for 9+ months and have such a slim chance of him/her being there for the most important moment.
