Anyone go to Dr. Quayle or Dr. Paskowski at OB/GYN of Rockland?

I just recently moved from westchester to rockland. and would like to get an ob/gyn this side of the bridge.

Their office is very close to me but dont know anyone who has used them.

Re: Anyone go to Dr. Quayle or Dr. Paskowski at OB/GYN of Rockland?

  • Yep. I do! There are few others on this board who see them too.

Honestly....I adore Dr. Paskowski but I can't stand Dr. Quayle. There is another Dr. in the practice that's ok too, her name is Dr. Sabatini. I just Don't see Dr. Quayle unless I'm pregnant and I have to (when your pregnant you have to see each Dr, in the practice at least once).

I know a few ladies on this board have had issues with this practice, but I haven't had any that were so bad that I've felt I needed to switch practices so I'm still seeing them.

  • i used them for my last pregnancy and they were ok. i prefer i liked quayle and paskowski more than sabatini, and sabatini did the delivery.

didn't love or hate anything, and had no complications.

I have been going there the last couple of years.  I haven't had any interaction with Dr. Paskowski, but have heard good things.

As the other ladies mentioned, if you get pg, they make you rotate through the three doctors because they all do deliveries based on who is on-call when you go into labor (they share the responsibility with the docs at Comprehensive OBGYN in Pomona -- so it's possible you could end up delivering with a doc you never met before).

I have only spoken to Dr. Quayle on the phone once, to get some test results.  She struck me as rather brusque, so if you need more compassion from a doctor, she might not be the best fit for you.  She did show the courtesy of calling me back even though she was the only Dr. in the office that day and not the one who ordered the tests, so I have to give her credit for that.

I mostly see Dr. Sabatini and don't have any real complaints.  She was good with follow-up with me when I was pregnant and had a miscarriage last year.  DH thinks she talks too fast, but it doesn't bother me.

I have also seen both NPs at the office (and they are much easier to schedule with for routine exams).  Patty Finnegan is really nice and a lot of people like her.  Debbie Gilhooly (sp?) was fine too -- a little more matter-of-fact and less outgoing, imo, but fine.

The staff I've dealt with there have been pretty friendly and helpful too.

I go to the other practice that Elf mentioned. But Dr. Pakowski ended up delivering my son. I have no complaints about her. I thought she was great and very friendly!

Yeah, for a routine annual pap there is usually a 2-3 month wait. But they are really good about getting you in sooner if the need arises.
