Poison Ivy- remedies?
Over the weekend, DH cleared a ton of weeds and growth in the back of my parents property and last night, a few bumps showed up on his arms (very small areas). This am, he woke up with it in the corner of his eye and minimal swelling.
I warned the guys about poison ivy, pointed it out but they didnt believe me. My Dad hasnt developed any kind of rash, just DH.
I went to the drugstore already and talked to the pharmacist on what to give him. I bought Benadryl and Cortizone for him. Oh, and I washed our sheets and pillowcases in hot water and detergent/color safe bleach.
Anything else?

Between meds and the cold compresses, sounds like you've got your bases covered!
Poison Ivy is no fun! A friend of mine got it really bad all over his face, but we didn't know what it was. I took him to urgent care (since his face was all swollen...his eyes were almost swollen shut), and that's all they did for him...cortizone, benadryl, and said to use cool washclothes to try to bring down the swelling.
