It really bothers me when people do not capitalize their names in places like LinkedIn or on their email return address, etc. I guess if that is what you want for personal email that's fine, but for work it is odd to me. Your name gets initial caps!!!

I will have you know your email comes to me as Kasondra Lastname. You are good in my book. I'm referring to like three people who tried to add me on LinkedIn today with lowercased names. It just seems unprofessional to me. We also have a customer service rep who didn't cap his name in his email footer. and he spelled our company name wrong but that is another story.

At work, our email address are typically firstname.lastname@. No capital letters (although, it will come to me if you do capitalize the initials).

Your email address might be lowercased, but how you have your personal settings is correct, your emails come to me with Jo Lastname.

One of my old team's coaches was bigandangry@ I judge. He's a chef and self employed but come on...surely you email people you want to make good impressions on!!

When I graduated from college, the girl who gave the senior speech insisted on lowercase letters for her name. She made the college print everything out that way. She thought she was being artistic. Maybe she read too much e.e. cummings? She was an English major.
