s/o rings
DH is preliminarily interested in getting a right hand ring for himself. He kind of wants me to pick it out for a gift sometime. He and I have quite different taste in jewelry, but he knows what I like and gets it - I have a harder time getting styles he likes for him b/c I don't really care for yellow gold or two tone.

Hmmm...H doesn't wear any jewelry except his wedding band, so that's a tough one! I'm also not a huge fan of two-tone, but I love H's band and they do make two-tone versions of the style, sort of hammered...not sure if this would be anything he'd even remotely like (or if he wants to have stones of some kind in this ring, as well?), but the first one is very similar to H's...the other two are examples of the hammered look in the two-tone:
A signet ring is my suggestion, too.
Is he planning to wear it on his ring finger or on his pinky?

I will have to goggle signet ring - not exactly sure what style that is.
maybe a cigar band style signet if I go with signet. I forgot about this kind.
I stole one from my mom for a few years when I was in middle school and it was really comfy.

I have a signet ring with my college seal on it that I wear on my right hand when I'm not too fat to get it on my finger (like I am right now).
Signet rings most commonly have one or more initials engraved on them, like this:

I don't know as he loves UM in general enough to get a ring from them. He has an HS ring that is sooo fug. Deer head profile encrusted on the giant fake blue un-faceted stone
thank goodness he said he regrets the encrusting now.
