BR: Anyone want to weigh in on names?
I know there are appropriate boards on TB but I just like you girls better, and you know me better.
Girl ringy = Zoe Catherine
Boy ringy = Arthur Thomas
(Others, please feel free to share your names too... real or hypothetical!)

Re: BR: Anyone want to weigh in on names?
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
I love them both, especially Zoe.
Is there any significance of either name?
Well, none of them are family names.
Zoe Catherine kind of has some significance because there is a St. Catherine who had a vision of Mary which inspired her to design the Miraculous Medal. V used to wear the medal constantly, though it's been a while since the chain broke and he stopped wearing it. The same St. Catherine was born Zoe and took the name Catherine when she became a nun.
Arthur is just a stately sounding name that we like, and Thomas is partly for St. Thomas Aquinas, whom our church is named after, and partly for Doubting Thomas, the apostle who we feel gets a bad rep lol.

I love them both Ringy, however I will admit that I am hoping for a girl now. I am a little partial to Zoe Catherine.
I love the girls name! Sorry, not as big a fan of Arthur (just NMS) but do like Thomas. It could grow on me though.

She stole my answer. I love Zoe. Arthur is not really my style but its unique.

I like both options. Are you going to do the umlauts on the e in Zoe? I've always loved umlauts...
Arthur is about as old fashion and formal as you can get - if you're okay with kids calling him Art or Artie (which is inevitable, I think), I say go for it.

I was going to agree with PPs and say Arthur was NMS, but I turned the name over in my head a few times. The combo of Arthur Thomas works, I think. I do like it!
Also love Zoe Catherine.
We'd totally go with the umlaut!
I don't expect it to be used all the time but officially I'd like it to be part of the name.
I have to admit that we sort of had the same reaction as some of you to Arthur... we giggled a bit at first when we thought of it ("Like, King Arthur? And the knights of the round table?") but it grew on us really quickly. We both really love Thomas but aren't 100% sold on the way it flows with our LN. I don't really mind the nicknames. I know some people think really hard about nicknames when they name their kids but IMO they are what they are, kind of organic and you can't really control it. I mean, if the kid's friends want to call him Boogerface (affectionately) there's not much I can do about it.
The alternative boy name we've been sitting on for a while is Jeremy Thomas. It's a very close 2nd right now but if LO turns out to be a Jeremy instead of an Arthur, then so be it!

I love Zoe Catherine!
Arthur is NMS but it's a fine name, it sounds very regal. I really like Thomas and Jeremy.
I was totally thinking King Arthur, but he kinda gets the short end of the stick (in spite of being king and having an awesomely circular table). It does sound very similar to V's name, which is cool.
And, you know, if you have a boy and a girl at some point, it would be cool to have one whose name begins with an "a" and another whose name begins with a "z".

I was thinking of the Arthur children's books. I used to read those all the time when I was a kid.
I love them both! And like Arthur over Jeremy.
Picking names is so much fun!
Zoe Catherine is precious.
If I'm being honest, I don't really like Arthur. I much prefer Thomas Arthur to Arthur Thomas - and I think Thomas would sound great with your last name! Arthur's not at all a bad name, it's just not my style (plus, to me Arthur is H's 99-year old late grandfather rather than a cute little baby.)
I still think it's funny that your girl name is Zoe Catherine, as that was our girl name as well. But we were going to spell it with a y (Zoey), and Catherine is my mom's name and would have been her middle name.
I like Arthur too, it's cute!
